Walther Krickau

Walther Krickau (born May 2, 1907 in Magdeburg , † November 29, 1946 in Hanover ) was a German violist .

Life

Walther Krickau, who was born in Magdeburg during the German Empire in 1907, worked as a musician at the Magdeburg City Theater before he - in the middle of the Second World War - on August 1, 1942, with the title of titled chamber musician of the city orchestra at the Hanover Opera House, succeeding Gustav Sachtleben was engaged.

Krickau worked in Hanover until the post-war period , but died during the British military rule in 1946 at the age of only 39. His successor on the viola was Eduard Meyer-Staudt .
