Waltraud Kreutz-Gers

Waltraud Kreutz-Gers (* 1959 ) is a German science manager . Since September 1, 2013, she has been Chancellor of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .

Life

Waltraud Kreutz-Gers studied social and economic sciences at the Universities of Bochum and Oldenburg . Your scientific work, u. a. In the Ministry of Science and Research of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia since 1991, Waltraud Kreutz-Gers was last in 2002 as Head of the Ministerial Counselor, responsible for policy and planning matters in the Ministry of Education, Science and Research. At the same time, in 2000 and 2001 she headed the task force of the North Rhine-Westphalian Expert Council, which was entrusted by the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia with the evaluation of all North Rhine-Westphalian universities and technical colleges.

In 2010, Waltraud Kreutz-Gers was appointed by the Federal Council as the German state representative for the thematic working group on the modernization of higher education within the framework of European cooperation in the field of general and vocational education ("ET 2020") (see BR-Drucksache 286/10 dated July 30, 2010).
