Waltraud Schade (born May 13, 1946 in Stuttgart ) is a German philologist, Germanist and writer .

In her book "Tango with Alice" she reports on her love affair with Alice Schwarzer from 1972 to 1973.

In September 2015, Alice Schwarzer had her lawyers take action against the author and the publisher rot & licht to prohibit publication. The publisher brought an action before the Cologne Regional Court. The parties agreed to cease and desist.

In August 2016, Alice Schwarzer obtained an interim injunction from the Regional Court of Cologne, temporarily stopping the sale of the revised version of the book "Black Tango: Memories of Alice Schwarzer" . The publisher appealed against the ruling. The appeal against the preliminary injunction was rejected.
