Lahn-Dill-Bergland hiking park

The Lahn-Dill-Bergland hiking park is located in the Lahn-Dill-Bergland nature park in Central Hesse . It consists of the main Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Path and 18 so-called extra tours. The routes meet the criteria of the German hiking seal and are therefore certified as premium hiking trails . As the central premium hiking trail, the Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Path connects other large climbs such as the Rothaarsteig , Rheinsteig over the Westerwaldsteig , Burgwaldpfad , over this the Ederhöhenweg , Lahnhöhenweg or Lahnsteig as well as Rennsteig over the Elisabethpfad .

The 19 extra tours are 7 to 36 kilometers in length and are connected directly or via access roads to the Lahn-Dill-Bergland-Path.

Transport links

The hiking park can be easily reached by public transport . By train in the north via the Obere Lahntalbahn , which is connected to the long-distance rail network in Marburg , or in the south-west via the Dill route . The Schelden Valley Railway , which would cross the nature park centrally, has not been in operation since 1987 and most of the tracks were dismantled from the end of the 1980s. The regional bus routes 481, 407, 472 and 491 as well as other local bus routes, all of which are part of the RMV tariff network , open up the hiking park.
