history
The Wandsbek Quarree was built in 1988 in the form of today's Q 1 (Quarree 1). After the purchase of the so-called Horten property, the Quarree Wandsbek was expanded to include the Q II (Quarree 2) and opened in 1988. A special bridge construction made it possible to build a multiplex cinema on the roof of Quarree Wandsbek in 2000. In 2010 the shopping center on Wandsbeker Marktstrasse was enlarged by a further 7500 m².
Catchment area of the shopping center
The shopping center is located in the center of the Hamburg district of Wandsbek and at the same time in the center of the district of the same name . In its catchment area, which u. a. includes the neighboring districts of Hamm , Horn and Eilbek , there are around 460,000 inhabitants. Around 40,000 people visit the Quarree every day, including residents and people who travel to Hamburg from abroad.
