Wang Liping (athlete)
Wang Liping ( Chinese 王丽萍 , Pinyin Wáng Lìpíng ; born July 8, 1976 in Fengcheng , Liaoning Province ) is a Chinese walker and Olympic champion .
In 1998 she came third in the Chinese National 10K Championships. In 2000 she won the national championships in 20 km walking . At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , she won the gold medal in the 20 km walk ahead of Kjersti Plätzer (NOR) and María Vasco (ESP).
Wang has a competition weight of 46 kg with a height of 1.64 m.
