Wang Shiwei (born August 11, 1996 ) is a Chinese speed skater .

Career

Shiwei started the World Cup for the first time in Harbin in November 2016 , finishing 11th in the pursuit and 26th in the B group over 5000 m. At the Winter Universiade 2017 in Almaty he achieved 15th place over 1500 m and 13th place over 5000 m. In the 2019/20 season, he achieved his first podium finishes in the World Cup in Minsk and Tomaszów Mazowiecki with second place in the team sprint. In January 2020, he became the Chinese mass start champion in Harbin. The following month, he won the silver medal in the team sprint at the World Individual Distance Championships in Salt Lake City .
