Ward Lernout

Ward Lernout (born May 3, 1931 in Geluwe , Wervik , West Flanders ) is a Belgian painter .

biography

Ward Lernout received his artistic training at the Menen Municipal Academy (painters F. Wallecan and E. Van Overberghe). He spent a long time in Africa, since 1964 he has lived in Tervuren . Professionally, he worked in marketing and press until 1990. Since 1970 there have been annual exhibitions of his works.

From 1959 to 1978: u. a. Mbandaka (Congo), Wezembeek-Oppem, Brussels, Diest, Mechelen. With his brother-in-law and painter Mon Camelbeke: Kortrijk, Waregem, Sint-Niklaas , Brussels.
