Warkocz ( Polish for plait, braid ) are a group of hills between 100 and 300 m high on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They rise up between the Wanda Glacier in the southwest and the Krak Glacier in the northeast on the banks of Martel Inlet .
Polish scientists named it after the hair style of Princess Wanda , the daughter of Krak , Duke of Vandals and central figure in the founding myth of the city of Krakow .
