The Warren Piedmont Glacier is a foreland glacier on the Rymill Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is west of the Traverse Mountains . To the north it is bounded by the Terminus Nunatak and to the south by the Riley Glacier . Apparently, the foreland glacier was previously part of the Riley glacier.
Aerial photographs were taken in 1966 by the United States Navy . Scientists from the British Antarctic Survey conducted surveys between 1970 and 1973. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1978 Douglas Ernest Warren (1918–1993), last head of the Directorate of Overseas Surveys from 1968 to 1980 and thus responsible for British mapping in Antarctica .
