Wash house in Champlan

The wash house (French lavoir ) in Champlan , a French commune in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region , was built after 1843.

The public wash house on Rue du Trou Mahet was made possible by the gift of the property from Madame Verdier de la Carbonnière.

The three-sided pent roof protected the laundresses. The wash house is said to have been used in the early 1990s.
