Wash house (Pont-Saint-Esprit)
The wash house (French: lavoir ) in Pont-Saint-Esprit , a French commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region , was built in 1832. The wash house in the center of the village has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 2005 .
The elongated wash house with two basins is opened on the two long sides by large round arches. The entrance sides are decorated with stone reliefs: on one side dolphins and the other the Roman god Neptune with a trident .
