The Carlos Lleras Restrepo hydroelectric power station (Spanish: Central hidroeléctrica Carlos Lleras Restrepo ) is located on the Río Medellín in central northern Colombia in the Antioquia department . It is located 13 km northeast of Barbosa and 47 km northeast of the city of Medellín . The operator of the plant is Hidralpor (Hidroeléctrica Del Alto Porce SASESP). The power plant bears the name of the politician Carlos Lleras Restrepo .

The hydropower plant, which was built in 2012-2015, is located in the Colombian Central Cordillera on the right bank of the Río Medellín. Downstream is the Porce II dam , upstream the La Tasajera hydroelectric power station . There is a weir ( ) 6.2 km upstream . on the Río Medellín. Part of the river water is drained there. The water is channeled along the right bank of the river via a 5.9 km long tunnel to an expansion tank, from which it then flows to the power plant. The power plant has two Francis turbines with an output of 39.7 MW each. The diameter of the rotor is 2 m, the speed of rotation is 360 / min. The drop height is 130 m. The average annual energy production is 585 GWh. The water flows back into the river below the power station.
