The Weststraße water pump is located in the center of Eggersheim , a district of the municipality of Nörvenich in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .
The cast iron water pump , a reciprocating piston pump , dates from the 19th century. Until the water pipeline network was laid, the drinking water had to be fetched from the residents. Today the pump no longer works and is only used as a memento of the past.
On March 11, 1985, the pump was entered in the monument list of the municipality of Nörvenich under No. 12.
