Local plan of Eggersheim

Eggersheim is a district of Nörvenich in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
location
Eggersheim is located on the southern border of the municipality of Nörvenich between Neffelbach and Heerweg in what is probably the most beautiful part of the landscape. The village borders on Lüxheim in the municipality of Vettweiß in the south and on Poll , Hochkirchen and Irresheim , districts of the municipality of Nörvenich , in the other direction .
history
Until December 31, 1939, the place belonged to the Binsfeld office .
On January 1, 1969, Eggersheim was incorporated into Nörvenich.
Transport links
Today's federal highway 477 , already designated in a Steinfeld warehouse book in 1477 as “herwich”, “herweeg” and “herstraesse” was laid out by the Romans as a military and trade route and served as a connection from Neuss to Zülpich ( Roman road Trier-Neuss ) . For the Eggersheim residents, this roughly 2000-year-old road, which passes directly to the west of the village, represents a traffic connection to the south and north, with connections to state and district roads and to the federal motorways . The bus line 208 of the Düren district railway goes to the place on the way from Düren to Zülpich.
Early viticulture
The steeply rising bank of the Neffelbach east of the village was probably used centuries ago for viticulture , which can be traced in many districts along the stream. There is no written evidence of this in Eggersheim. The steps, which are clearly man-made, can be seen particularly clearly on the street “Im Wiesengrund”, should replace the written evidence.
Architectural monuments
Others
- The Eggersheimer Mühle is right on the outskirts .
- The footpath leading past the eastern hill leads from Bessenich , Gladbach via Lüxheim on to Hochkirchen, Nörvenich and Alt- Oberbolheim . The path is accessible in all seasons and runs parallel to the main road . In the past it was used in particular as a school and church path to Hochkirchen.
- On December 9th, 2009, the new rescue station of the Düren district was inaugurated at the corner of Kapellenstrasse and B477. An ambulance from the Malteser Emergency Service is stationed there around the clock . Before that, the rescue station was rented in the building yard of the municipality of Nörvenich in the Nörvenich industrial park. The ambulance supplies the municipality of Vettweiß and parts of the municipality of Nörvenich.
