The drinking water game "Spitting and Swallowing" by sculptor Walter Sachs (installed in 2007)

The water feature “spitting and swallowing” is connected to a drinking water pipe, but is not a well in the strict sense. This installation on Ferdinand-Freiliggrath-Straße in front of the Siechenbräu-Haus in Weimar was created by Walter Sachs . This drinking water system has existed since 2007. According to him, the installation has a height of 98 cm. There is no actual fountain basin. The material of the three figures is made of dolerite .

The motif "Sister Eloquentia teaches her brothers" comes from the fact that the artist himself called the spitting figure "Eloquentia". The water jet of the female figure comes through the mouth as a kind of torrent of speech, with a male head out of the ears. He puts a stop to this torrent of speech. The second male head is drinking. He is very concerned about his well-being.

Walter Sachs created the Pikrit sculpture as early as 1992 : " Sunken Giant " on the Frauenplan in Weimar.
