The house at Wassertorstraße 4 is a listed building in the town of Gernrode belonging to the town of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located northwest of the old town of Gernröder and is registered in the local register of monuments as a community center.

Architecture and history

The massive building, facing the street, was built in the period around 1890/1900. Other details indicate the conversion of a barn from 1776 into a community center for the property in 1906. The clinker gable is designed in the neo-Gothic style and has a staggered top. The area is structured by blind arcades . The long sides have stepped segmental arched windows and framing wall templates.

The building served as a meeting house for the Protestant parish. In 1998 the property came into private hands.
