The water tower

The water tower at Massenheimer Landstrasse 3 in Hochheim am Main in the Main-Taunus district is a monument to the history of technology . It is a brick tower with a round, tapering shape. The tower is structured by means of incorporated sandstone masonry .

It was built in 1896 on the basis of plans by the Amberg engineer H. Kullmann. With the commissioning of the local waterworks in 1897, he secured the local drinking water supply . It was shut down in 1966. In 1972 the elevated tank, including the associated piping and machine technology, was dismantled. In 1983 it was converted into a restaurant.
