Vasily Ivanovich Aksjonow

Wassili Iwanowitsch Aksjonow ( Russian Василий Иванович Аксёнов ; born July 6, 1957 in Tver Oblast ) is a Soviet and Russian nuclear physicist .

Life

Aksjonow studied at the Moscow Energy Institute and graduated there in 1981 in the field of nuclear power plants and installations. After completing his studies, he worked in various functions at the Kalinin nuclear power plant : he was a senior reactor engineer, shift supervisor, reactor manager, chief engineer, deputy Kalinin NPP and was promoted to director in 2005.

From 2007 to 2008 he was Deputy Technical Director for the new units of the Rosenergoatom concern . Since March 2008 he has been First Deputy General Director of OJSC Atomenergoremont and since January 2015 Director of the Moscow Center of the World Association of Nuclear Power Plant Operators .

He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Tver Oblast.
