Watermät (actually Philippe Beaureperre or Laurent Arriau ) is a French music producer who achieved international fame in 2014 with his single Bullit .
Life
Inspired by the dance sound of the nineties and the house music from Chicago , which he got to know through his older brother, Watermät initially produced tracks for other artists. The first piece he released under his own name was Bullit , a mixture of flute sounds and electronic elements, the flute part of which is a sample from the song My Whole World Ended (The Moment You Left Me) by David Ruffin from 1969. Bullit was released in spring 2014 by the Dutch dance label Spinnin 'Records and reached number 15 in the UK and number two in the Belgian charts in the Flanders area . The single also reached a chart position in Germany at number 93. In autumn 2014 Watermät Bullit recorded again as Bullit (So Real) , this time with singers Paddy Byrne and Gerry Conell.
Watermät has a daughter.
