Watford Island is a small island in the Great Sound in the northwest of the Atlantic archipelago of Bermuda . It is located south of the directly adjacent Boaz Island, with which it is now firmly connected via a navigable dam .
The uninhabited islet Current Island is about 50 m off the west coast .
On Watford Island there is a cemetery for military personnel of the British Naval Forces ( Royal Navy ) from the period after 1933.
The island is part of Sandys Parish County .
