Sandys Parish refers to a 5.8 km² large administrative area of Bermuda with 6983 inhabitants (2016).
Parish, which is comparable to a district in German-speaking countries, is located in the northwest of the Bermuda chain of islands . The administrative district mainly includes the islands of Ireland Island North , Ireland Island South , Boaz Island and Somerset Island as well as small parts in the southwest of the main island of Grand Bermuda . Sandys Parish borders Southampton Parish to the south .
The administrative area is named after the English aristocrat and statesman Sir Edwin Sandys (1561–1629), a son of the same name Edwin Sandys , Archbishop of York.
