Pembroke Parish is an administrative area of 4.7 km² in Bermuda with 10,306 inhabitants (2016, area and inhabitants of the city of Hamilton not included).
The Parish, which is comparable to a district in German-speaking countries, is located in the center of the main Bermudian island of Grand Bermuda and protrudes west into the Great Sound . The administrative district also includes some offshore islands in the Great Sound to the west and south . Pembroke Parish borders the Devonshire Parish to the east . Hamilton , the capital of Bermuda, is located in the area, but is not part of Pembroke Parish as an independent municipality.
The administrative area is named after the English aristocrat William Herbert, 3rd Earl of Pembroke (1580-1630).
