Weasel Gap is a mountain pass with a firn surface and a slight slope in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Athos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains , it represents the north-south connection between Mount Starlight and Mount Lacey .
A team led by the Australian polar explorer John Mayston Béchervaise (1910-1998) discovered him in November 1955 during a campaign by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE). It is named after the M29 Weasel , a tracked vehicle that was used by the ANARE.
