Weberocereus imitans is a species of plant in the genus Weberocereus from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet is derived from the Latin verb imitari for 'to imitate' and refers to the similarity of the shoots with the species Epiphyllum anguliger .

description

Weberocereus imitans grows epiphytically , is initially ascending and later becomes more or less prostrate or drooping. Numerous aerial roots are formed on the richly branched shoots . The main shoots are up to 90 centimeters long. The side shoots branch off from the main shoots at an angle of 45 degrees. The grass-green shoots are twisted and flattened at their base. Their edges are deeply lobed, with the indentations between the lobes being 10 to 15 centimeters long. The little woolly areoles on the shoots sit at the lowest point of the indentations and are carried by a small scale. There are usually no thorns . Occasionally, however, one to three straight, needle-like thorns are formed that are 2 to 4 millimeters long.

The bell- to funnel-shaped, light cream-white flowers are 6 to 7 centimeters long and appear near the shoot tips. The pericarpel is covered with wool and a few thorns. The elongated to egg-shaped, initially bronze-green fruits later turn red. They have a length of up to 3.7 centimeters. Their pulp is white.
