Wedge Ridge is a rocky ridge in the East Antarctic Coatsland . It rises up to 1145 m (according to British data about 1200 m ) high at the head end of the Blaiklock Glacier immediately west of the Pointer Nunatak in the west of the Shackleton Range .
Participants of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) under the direction of British polar explorer Vivian Fuchs (1908-1999) charted it in 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1962 after his wedge-shaped ( English wedge-shaped ) appearance.
