Weemseesdet is the name of the first Luxembourgish TV sitcom , which was broadcast on RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg on Friday evenings from October 2011 to March 2012 .

It is produced by Deal Productions ( Désirée Nosbusch and Alexandra Hoesdorff-Rosen). It is written by Claude Lahr and Marc Limpach. 24 episodes with a length of approx. 25 minutes each are planned. Filming began on July 5th and should be completed by September 2011. The series has a budget of 1.5 million euros , two thirds of which are taken over by the Luxembourg film funds and one third by RTL.

The main characters are the members of the Wampach family in Luxembourg. Romain Wampach (played by Germain Wagner) is an idealistic, cynical professor and his wife Georgette (Nicole Max) is a quick-tempered psychologist. They have two children, Fränz (Luc Lamesch) and Charlotte (Eugénie Anselin).

Other people are u. a. the cleaning lady Maria Teixeira Dos Santos (Martine Borg) and her son Raoul (Nilton Martins D'Almeida), the neighbor couple Mrs. and Mr. Konsbrück (played by producer Désirée Nosbusch and Mickey Hardt ), the grandfather (Fernand Fox), and Laura Leinweber ( Anne Bredimus), Charlotte's best friend.

Generational conflicts, pubescent teenagers, crushes, worries with dear neighbors etc. are discussed.

The theme music is by Serge Tonnar .
