RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg (originally RTL Hei Elei ) is a Luxembourg private broadcaster . According to the State Treaty, there are no public television channels in Luxembourg . RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg was founded in 1969 and is wholly owned by the RTL Group . It is broadcast in Luxembourgish , French (translation by De Journal on the second audio channel for the Romanophone population) and German (transfer of the program content from Super RTL ). On March 15, 2004, a second television station called Den 2. RTL was started.

RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg broadcasts 24 hours a day via DVB-T , cable and satellite . In addition to the RTL Group , the oppene channel in cooperation with the Offenen Kanal Trier and the Chambre des Députés with Chamber TV also operate other Luxembourgish-language television channels. In addition, the regional programs Nordliicht TV and the Uelzechtkanal are operated. The former main competitor T.TV , which broadcast its programs in Luxembourgish , French and German , was discontinued in March 2007. The most-watched program on RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg is De Journal with a market share of almost 70 percent.
