history

In 1944, Makedonska Radio, the forerunner of Macedonian radio, was founded. Makedonska Televizija followed in 1964 . Today MRT produces several radio and television programs.

MRT has been a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since January 1st, 1993 , so it can, on behalf of Macedonia, send contributions to the Eurovision Song Contest , Eurovision Dance Contest and the Junior Eurovision Song Contest .
