Egon Rieble

Egon Rieble (* 20th May 1925 in Rottweil , † 6. July 2016 ) was a German (both high linguistic and dialectal Swabian ) writer and poet .

life and work

Egon Rieble attended elementary school in Göllsdorf and then high school in Rottweil . At the age of 17 he became a soldier in the air force and became a pilot and fighter pilot. After the Second World War , he graduated from the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium in Rottweil and then studied German , art history and philosophy at the University of Tübingen . His first literary works were already published during this time.

Rieble worked as a teacher and later as a cultural advisor for the Rottweil district .

For Egon Rieble, the focus of dialect work was on dialect poetry . In addition, he has written non-fiction on art history, as well as art and literature articles in magazines, radio and television, anthologies and reading books, introductions to art exhibitions and catalogs. He led art-historical lectures and guided tours with a focus on sacred art and gives author readings.

By writing the life story of his friend, the painter Wilhelm Kimmich , he also successfully asserted himself as a biographer .

Egon Rieble was a member of the Association of German Writers .
