Télé Liban

Télé Liban ( Arabic تلفزيون لبنان, DMG Tilifikyūn Lubnān ) is the state broadcaster of Lebanon , based in Beirut .

On May 28, 1959, the CLT ( Compagnie Libanaise de Télévision ) program was founded, broadcasting on an Arabic and French-speaking VHF channel. On May 6, 1977, another channel was founded with Télé Orient . By merging these channels, Télé Liban was created on July 7, 1977 . The Lebanese state acquired 51% of the rights to the station.
