The wayside cross in Sarmersbach , a local community in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate , is a field cross marked with the year 1762. The wayside cross is a protected cultural monument . The basalt crossroads are located on the corner of the main street and Bergstraße in the center of the village.

The inscription on the cross shaft reads: “1762 NICOL AS AN EN.A. BARB ARA. SHF JOHAN ANTO NIVS ANEN ANNA MARIA SHF 1762 - Nikolas An (n) en - A. Barbara. SHF Johann Antonius An (n) en - Anna Maria - SHF “The founders Nikolas Annen and his wife Anna Barbara with other relatives, possibly children, are named.
