The White Villa is a listed secular building in Wickede , a municipality in the Soest district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The factory owner's house with the eaves in the formal language of late classicism was built around 1850 on the site of a puddling and rolling mill founded in 1839/40 . The plastered building is structured by cornices and pilasters and banded on the ground floor . The gable ends are particularly emphasized with chimney attachments. There is a balcony above the entrance on the left. A veranda extension with remarkable etched glass windows in rococo decor was added on the opposite side . The wall-mounted fittings are from the 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition, there are two plane trees on the property of the White Villa, which together are designated as a protected landscape component.
