Stefano Angeleri (born August 26, 1926 in Castellazzo Bormida , † January 31, 2012 in Bergamo ) was an Italian football player and coach .

As a teenager, Angeleri played for clubs in Ovada , Acqui (1943 to 1944) and Voghera (1945 to 1947) in his home town of Piedmont , before being signed by Juventus Turin in 1947 . In 1949 he was transferred to Atalanta Bergamo . There he became a top performer and top player for his team over time. For a long time he was the player with the most appearances for Bergamo. The midfielder compensated for his rather slim build with great commitment, fighting spirit and an overview of the game. Because of his way of running with arms outstretched like wings, he was nicknamed "the seagull". In Serie A Angeleri brought it to 328 games and four goals. In Serie B he had 67 missions. With Atalanta Bergamo he won the Serie B championship in 1958/59.

After finishing his playing career, Angeleri initially coached his club's youth teams until he took over as coach of the first in 1966 from the dismissed Ettore Puricelli . In 1969 he moved to AC Parma , which at that time was still playing lower class. After a few more stations, he ended his coaching career in 1986 at Calcio Lecco .

Angeleri died in his adopted home Bergamo at the age of 85.
