The Weißer Rabe social enterprises and services GmbH , also the Weißer Rabe Group , is a non-profit company based in Munich . It is one of the largest integration and employment companies in Bavaria .

Support and organization

The White Raven Group was founded in 1988. The carrier of the White Raven is the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e. V.

With around 400 employees, the Weiße Rabe Group is one of the largest integration and employment companies in Bavaria. It has the organizational form of a GmbH and is recognized as non-profit .

Goals, operations and activities

The aim is to reintegrate people who need support into society and to open up new professional opportunities for them. The target group is especially people who are long-term unemployed , disabled and mentally ill . Permanent employment with a realistic work situation and socio-educational support should support a regular life and the return to the regular job market. The employees are supported by professionally trained staff in developing their motivation, their performance and their professional and social skills. You will receive direct help in everyday professional life, practical and theoretical qualifications, training in social skills and help in finding apprenticeships and jobs. Most employees have a job with additional expense allowance . For refugees and asylum seekers there is the possibility for internships, entry qualifications, jobs and training opportunities and support from social workers and job godfather.

Weißer Rabe GmbH includes various employment companies for people in need of support:

  • Second-hand department stores in Munich - in Sendling and at Westend - with goods, for example, from donations and liquidations;
  • a recycling company in Dornach (Aschheim) , in which electrical and electronic scrap is recycled by contractual partners of the city of Munich (especially the Munich recycling centers ) and by corporate customers;
  • a furniture workshop (the Werkstatt am Westpark GmbH );
  • a tailor's shop ( sewing shop ) with a boutique and café;
  • a housekeeping service that specializes in stairwell, office, glass, maintenance and basic cleaning;
  • a company canteen and a seminar service at the headquarters of the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e. V. (since 2006);
  • a café in the Rosenheim Clinic;
  • a service (the forest project ) for rope-assisted tree care .

Transport assistance is also available for apartment and company liquidations. Well-preserved refrigerators are given to social welfare recipients. Toys are given to refugee children and children of families who receive unemployment benefit II or basic security .

The companies have to generate most of their costs themselves.

As a social enterprise, the White Raven receives funding from several institutions in the state capital of Munich for the employment and qualification of long-term unemployed people. It also receives support from the district of Upper Bavaria , from the Integration Office of Upper Bavaria, the Caritas of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising e. V. and from foundations and donors.
