Diet of the Archbishopric of Bremen
The provincial parliaments of the Archbishopric of Bremen were founded in Basdahl (today in the integrated community of Geestequelle ) in 1397 through an agreement between the Archbishopric of Bremen and the estates .

The meeting place was consistently from 1398 to 1599 Basdahl and here in Hohlen Grund on the Steingraben on the road between Basdahl and Kuhstedt . In 1542 and 1627 the conferences took place in Bremen in the house of the cathedral chapter.
After the Thirty Years' War , only the knight days of the knighthood took place in Basdahl from 1648, from 1698 to 1806 in the knight's house there and then in Stade .
