history
Historically, the landscape goes back to the state parliaments of Basdahl of the Archbishopric of Bremen , which have been going back since 1397 . The Verden territory was also represented there since the 16th century . In 1865 the constitution, which is still valid today, was passed. The clergy was no longer represented as a stand.
Today's tasks
The landscape is active in the field of regional cultural promotion in the area of the former territory of Bremen-Verden and is involved in the Stade Landscape Association in this context . Furthermore, it is a carrier of the VGH insurance through the Landschaftliche Brandkasse and operates a regional archive. The knighthood involved in the landscape operates the Stade knightly credit institute .

- Knights of Bremen and Verden
- Deputies of the cities and municipalities
- Members of the rural landowners
The chairman of the first curia is president of the landscape. The Landtag, which meets annually, and the Landscape Committee act as organs of the landscape as a permanent working body.
