Hildesheim Regional Association
The Hildesheim Regional Association is a registered association in Lower Saxony .
It is one of the regional associations in Lower Saxony and was founded in 1971. His area of activity includes the district of Hildesheim and thus the city of Hildesheim with the old Hildesheim monastery .

Like the other Landscapes and Landscape Associations in Lower Saxony, the Hildesheim Regional Association mainly has cultural and political tasks. It has the legal form of a registered association and, on behalf of its regional authorities and the State of Lower Saxony , performs central municipal and decentralized governmental tasks in the fields of culture , science and education and operates appropriate facilities for this purpose. The historical landscape of the former Principality of Hildesheim is a member of the landscape association.
