Landscape Association Osnabrücker Land
The Landschaftsverband Osnabrücker Land e. V. (LVO) was founded in 1985 as a registered association based in Bad Iburg . It is one of a total of 13 landscapes and landscape associations in Lower Saxony . His area of activity includes the region of the Osnabrück state belonging to the state of Lower Saxony , the district of Osnabrück and the independent city of peace Osnabrück . Its task is to maintain and promote regional culture. According to the statutes, the presidium of the association is formed by the mayor (OB) of the city of Osnabrück and the district administrator of the Osnabrück district (LR), currently OB Wolfgang Griesert (president) and LR Anna Kebschull (vice-president). The landscape of the former principality of Osnabrück is a member of the landscape association Osnabrücker Land.
tasks
Like the other landscapes and landscape associations in Lower Saxony, the LVO has exclusively cultural tasks. In terms of content, he is active in the fields of culture, art, nature and regional history, be it through the support of third parties or through his own projects. As part of the administrative reform in Lower Saxony, he was also entrusted with the allocation of state funds.
