The Ritterschaftliche Kreditinstitut Stade (RKI Stade) is a public real estate credit institute based in Stade .
history
King George IV of Great Britain and Hanover granted the knighthood of the Duchy of Bremen permission to found a credit association on January 17, 1826. This ordinance was later published and soon afterwards the first directorate began its work under the name “Credit Commission”.
Today's tradition can also be described as extraordinary, as there are only two banks run by knighthoods : Besides the knighthood credit institute in Stade, only the Hanover-based Calenberger credit association has a comparable tradition.
The original purpose of the institute was to enable its members to take out long-term borrowing on favorable terms and to support the repayment of their loans as much as possible. Initially, members could only be manor owners. However, this circle was expanded to include free farmers a short time later .
The loans issued have always been refinanced by issuing Pfandbriefe . The aim was to convince their creditors to invest by offering extremely secure mortgage bonds.
From 1970 onwards, the Stade Ritterschaftliche Kreditinstitut expanded its offering to include building finance and municipal loans. Nevertheless, even in the aftermath of the traditional issue of the real loan, the institute continued to pursue a cautious business policy, which is therefore largely committed to the interests of its customers. The roots in the region also characterize the bank's individual “character”.
The credit institution is subject to the provisions applicable to real estate credit institutions under public law.
