coat of arms
Blazon : "In silver (white) over a blue wavy bar a five-leaf green oak sprout." | |
Reasons for the coat of arms: The coat of arms awarded in 1974 reminds of the growing together of the five member communities with its five-leaf green oak sprout; at the same time, the oak sprout points to one of the largest contiguous forest areas, the Hinzel, in the Elbe-Weser triangle . The blue wave bar symbolizes the springing in the field of integrated municipality rivers Lune and Geeste and thus is also speaking for the joint community name. |
traffic
The entire municipality is crossed by the B 71 and B 74 . The Hipstedt and Oerel stops are on the Bremerhaven – Buxtehude railway line in the joint municipality .
