Soft foam

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A soft foam consisting of polyesters is conventionally referred to as soft foam . It is known as a soft foam sheet made of polyurethane . The structure of the panels is open-cell, so they are air-permeable.

Soft foams are often used as insulating material for soundproofing or as inner lining for various items of clothing. But they are also used as filter media in depth filtration . They have the advantage of being moisture-resistant and washable. The soft foam used for seats or mattresses can contain tris (2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate as a flame retardant . Another area of application of flexible foams is their use as a resource for measuring emissions of polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and dibenzofurans .
