history

Weiler is first handed down in 1267. Since 1267 attested ministers of the Counts of Berg called themselves after the settlement . The castle and village were sold by their heirs, the von Westernach , in 1403 to the Ulm patricians Gräter and from these in 1414 to the Blaubeuren monastery . The castle was by the church. From another medieval castle on the Sirgenstein rock, a ditch and wall remains have been preserved.

With the Blaubeuren monastery, Weiler came to Württemberg and was subordinate to the Blaubeuren office.
