Weiler is part of the municipality of Keltern in the Enzkreis . Weiler was once an independent municipality in the Pforzheim district and was incorporated into the newly formed municipality of Keltern on March 30, 1972.

Geographical location

The Upper Pfinz flows through the village from southwest to northeast , and the center of the village lies on the bottom of the valley, while the newer parts of the settlement stretch up to the left slope and the mouth of the Krähenbach , which runs towards the river from the south in the center of the village. Around the place there is a small striped field landscape with many orchards.

The next place is the village of Ottenhausen in the municipality of Straubenhardt , whose border is less than 300 meters to the south, the next other suburb of its own municipality is Niebelsbach about 1.1 km to the east.

Hamlet was first mentioned in 1219 as Wilre . The chapel of St. Egidius was first mentioned in 1508.
