Wuchzenhofen is a district of the large district town of Leutkirch in Allgäu in the Ravensburg district . The foundations of Raeth Castle are also located near Wuchzenhofen.

history

In 1166, Ripertus von Niederhofen ( Ministeriale of the Counts of Veringen ) and his son Berthold handed over their manor (praedium) in Rimpach and their part of the church in Enkenhofen to the Isny ​​monastery . Heinrich von Christazhofen, Berthold and Heinrich von Trauchburg and Berthold von Muthmannshofen testify to this .

Wuchzenhofen was first mentioned in a document in 1353. The village belonged to the Landvogtei Schwaben , Amt Gebrazhofen , until 1806. After a short stay in the Kingdom of Bavaria , Wuchzenhofen became part of the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1810 , there in the Oberamt Leutkirch and until 1938 it belonged to the Oberamt Wangen .

On June 1, 1972, Wuchzenhofen was incorporated into the city of Leutkirch.

The local administration of Wuchzenhofen is located in Adrazhofen. Except for the children from Niederhofen, the school is located in the primary and secondary school Wuchzenhofen-Tannhöfe, which was built in 1964.
