Herlazhofen is a district of the large district town of Leutkirch in the Allgäu .

history

Herlazhofen was first mentioned as Erlandishovin around 1246 . Heinrich von Herlazhofen was Ministeriale of the Counts of Veringen . In the 14th century the place came partly to the Lords of Hohentann and in the 15th century to the Kempten monastery . Later it belonged to the Gebrazhofen office of the Upper Bailiwick of Swabia . 1806 under Bavarian and from 1810 under Württemberg administration. In 1819 the community of Tautenhofen was incorporated. Herlazhofen became its own municipality in the Oberamt Leutkirch and came to the district of Wangen in 1934 . On June 1, 1972 Herlazhofen was incorporated into Leutkirch.
