Reichenhofen is a district of the large district town of Leutkirch in the Allgäu in the Ravensburg district .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1127 in a deed of donation from the city of Bregenz . The most important districts of Reichenhofen are:
- Haid
- Herbrazhofen
- Milan
- Zeil Castle
- Lower line
Ownership of the monasteries Rot an der Rot , Isny im Allgäu and Kempten (Allgäu), and later also the Waldsee hospital can be proven. Reichenhofen was essentially part of the Grafschaft Zeil . In 1806 the community came to the Kingdom of Württemberg in the mayor's office Zeil-Zeil and from 1820 was a community in the princely office of Waldburg-Zeil.
The municipality's coat of arms contains the stone judge's seat of a regional court, an indication that the district of Haid, the former court of the "free farmers of the Leutkircher Heide", is located in the district of Reichenhofen.
The branch church of Reichenhofen is under the patronage of St. Laurentius . The ecclesiastical community is part of the Allgäu-Oberschwaben deanery in the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese . Reichenhofen is on the Wurzacher Ach .
On June 1, 1972, Reichenhofen was incorporated into the city of Leutkirch.
