Hinznang is a district of the large district town of Leutkirch im Allgäu in the Baden-Württemberg district of Ravensburg and is part of the village of Winterstetten .

Geographical location

The place is at an altitude of 718 meters above sea ​​level in the valley of the Eschach , only a few meters from the state border with Bavaria . Also nearby is the Kreuzthal winter sports center, the former Urlau ammunition facility , the wooded Adelegg ridge with the Black Ridge and the Gschnaidt pilgrimage site .

The oldest evidence of settlement is the first mention of the striking Hinznang church in 1275. The hamlet of Hinznang used to belong to the municipality of Winterstetten , which was incorporated into Leutkirch on June 1, 1972 as part of the municipality reform. Furthermore, Hinznang has not been part of the dissolved Wangen district since 1973 , but rather belongs to the Ravensburg district .

Hinznang was the house of the Stuttgart church St. Fidelis nationally known. In the mid-1970s, she acquired a large farmhouse in the center of the village and converted it into the so-called Fidelis Ranch . Since then there have been regular school camps as well as summer and winter camps for children, young people, adults and families. In 2015 the “Fidelis Ranch” was closed and the house was sold for financial reasons.
