Weingarten (Rimsting)

Weingarten is a district of the municipality of Rimsting in the Rosenheim district and part of the Chiemgau . Before April 1, 1970, this district belonged to the municipality of Greimharting , before it was incorporated into the municipality of Rimsting.

The Weingarten district is located on the Ratzinger Höhe, where the Ackermann family has been running their own farm since 1580. Around 1640 the former farm was also used as the Weingarten inn .

The area around the Ratzinger Höhe offers a good view of the Chiemsee and the Bavarian Alps . The Ratzinger Höhe and the Weingarten district were used as filming locations for German TV productions, including for gynecologist Dr. Markus Merthin and our teacher, Doctor Specht .
