The Weingasse 1 building in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under number D-6-72-114-112 .

history

The core of the property with a gable roof and volute gable dates back to 1888. Initially, the planning provided for a single-storey concept, which was then expanded to two storeys. In 1898 the property was redesigned in the neo-renaissance style by Bad Kissingen architect Carl Krampf ; it received the octagonal bay tower with its decorative half-timbered forms.

The property housed Karch's Weinstube until 2010 and was then sold privately. Karch's Weinstube was regularly visited by the painter Adolph von Menzel , which is why the name "Menzel-Eck" came about. After the renovation in 2014, two shops as well as office and living space were set up.
